SpruceSugar™

A versatile, bio-based polysaccharide extracted from upcycled Norway Spruce sawdust. Designed for diverse applications in coatings, binders, cosmetics, and animal feed, it offers a sustainable alternative to fossil-based ingredients.

Key features:

  • Biodegradable: Hydrophilic hemicelluloses with lignin

  • Water-soluble: Mildly anionic with amphiphilic properties

  • Functional performance: Film-forming, UV-absorbing, surface activity

  • Molecular weight: < 8,000 g/mol Mw

SpruceLigno™

A rare, native lignin extract with high phenolic content (>85%-w) and strong reactivity, free from sulphur and soda. Derived from upcycled Norway Spruce sawdust, it is an excellent choice for specialized coatings, sun care, and animal feed applications.

  • Water-insoluble: Maintains stability in various formulations

  • Preserved native structure: Intact beta-O-4 linkages 

  • Molecular weight: < 5,000 g/mol Mw

SpruceMix™

A gluey phenolic oligosaccharide mixture designed for sustainability-driven industrial formulations, including adhesives, dust binding, and fermentation feedstocks. Extracted from upcycled Norway Spruce sawdust, it offers natural functionality and adaptability.

Key features:

  • Balanced composition: Small-sized carbohydrates (< 2,000 g/mol Mw, 50%-w) and phenolics (>30%-w)

  • Solubility: Readily water-soluble oligo- and monosaccharides with phenolics

  • Versatile composition: Sticky, antioxidative, UV-absorbing, and hygroscopic

Hydrothermally treated Norway Spruce lignocellulosic fibers, upcycled to enhance the sustainability of plastics, glues, and other industrial applications.

  • Thermally stable: Low water-soluble content for unique performance
