Barriers
SpruceSugar™ contains inherent grease and oxygen barrier properties.
With SpruceSugar™ high solid concentrations above 50% are possible in hot or cold water. Viscosity starts to increase only at concentrations above 35%.
Customized SpruceSugar™ dispersions are available.

Biolatexes and co-polymers
SpruceSugar™ can be used with the most common O/W emulsion polymerization syntheses and common synthetic monomers, such as styrene, acrylic acid, methyl methacrylate and butyl acrylate.
SpruceSugar™ will add emulsifying strength to the dispersion decreasing the need for additional surfactants.
SpruceSugar™ is incorporated inside the polymer matrix with some covalent bonding creating the dispersion functionalities.
